"New year with new set of resolutions......"

"Change the damn date"!!!!!!!....my mom will not get a chance to say her most favourite words, this morning.Na na she has not changed her routine, but i have silently made a change in our display calender. Its showing 1st of january'09 and that too without any effort from my mom.
Exactly, this is the only way i celebrate or in refined form i welcome new year.Since i belong to a so called cultured(or you can say an orthodox punjabi family),i am not allowed to sleep outside my place tats "home sweet home".For them nightout parties have no meaning as such, and so is for me!!!!!Well, keep my story aside and lets move to what new year brings to us.For many its just a change in date, few plan new things and try to change what they want to and a elite sophisticated group try something new i.e "defining certain resolutions for new year" and unfortunately i am among one of them.I eagerly wait for new year to jot down new things, new dreams or new set of rules to be followed. This is not a matter of concern whether we have fullfilled the last year's resolutions, but all of us set out new for coming year and that too without wasting a single moment.
As we are on resolutions lets go deep inside them only. These resolutions vary as per our need and as per our age group. These are nothing more than a display of our inner deep rooted ambitions. We try to focus our efforts, our ways towards what we seek. These are set of guidelines, which if followed properly can fulfill some of our aspirations. For youngs who are beggining to adolesce these resolutions mainly linked with their love life.Few of them are in hurry to strengthen their "tender love" relationships and they resolute to put their 100% towards it.But,the scenario is little different in case of adults of group 20-25,yet it is on the same base that is "love".Since they have seen a lot bt this time, they resolute to focus on their career rather than wasting time on these things.Love has already taught them a good lesson. Its not mandatory but somewhere i do feel the same as i also belong to this "mature" group of our society.I have savoured the flavour of love,i am a perfect example of what i am saying.I was busy in my teens nurturing my feelings, then with my efforts to save them(relations) followed by a phase when i was shattered and now i am back again. This is not only my story but it is linked to all of us with little variations with their part.I had a long pile of resolutions till few years back with all such feelings.
But now things have changed and again its time to set out new ways to work out.I am experienced, not professionally but in certain different feild, yet important.Like most of us i have become callous,my feelings got effaced,no more space for romantic movies in nut shell i am now ready to enter new phase of life. Here, i am prepared to enter that earning world where i need to forget what had happened with me,jst i need to carry forward my experience.I have set out my new resolutions, new rules to follow and as obvious influenced by my desires.Nothing has changed much.Another year ,same people, same objectives same plans for setting out new resolutions but my "base" has changed.I know i am not clear explaning my new base(intentionally) but you can find out what i mean to say.......all you need to do is to take a pause, revive your life,re-think about it and correlate it with what i have written in here about me!!!!!!!

Delhi assembly elections '08

Finally i am done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya, it's was first time experience for me.My spirits were high, enthusiasm was unbounded and a sense of responsibility towards my NATION was there to add up.The occasion was to put my electoral right into practice and that too for the first time.It was no special knack for most of us,but being the first of its kind in my life it was worth waiting. The day i received my voter ID card, i started scanning through newsparers, internet and our local political discussion booths. You may easily find people around you who boast of their links renowned political personalities.Well, going through all this i reached this dawn.
Previously, i was part of people discard events like this without any reason. But,now i do understand the importance and power of my single vote.I have seen trend changing from last few years when people were unaware of their importance in selecting their leader. These days new generation is more intrested in selecting the right candidate as per the needs of nation.Elections does not demand liquor and cash these days.People now seek long term progress, they do not want to satisfy themselves with mere words of candidates.
Now explaining about my E-day experience,it was good, infact i am impresssed by the syestematic and hassle free voting syestem.Electronic voting syestem was working in full swing with commited policemen guarding booths.I was asked to prove my identity at the entry point, followed by enrolling my name in voter registration register with serial no. 12.Next step is to get a mark on your finger to show your friends and neighbours and to get a chance to boast over who missed their voting. This was followed by the most intresting part of my day i.e to select my candidate.A long list of candidates was in front of me,and it was difficult to find my candidate with utopia.I became vagrant for a minute, but soon i landed up on an unsullied candidate's name.It was congress this time with their candidate and our current CM Mrs. Sheela Dixit. She was the only suitable candidate from my side.Apart from her i found parties like BJP,BSP,Janta Dal and a lot of independant candidates. In total i had around 20 options in front of me,most of them were new to me.But,finally i beeped my choice and i was directed to leave to room. So,in total it was fun!!!!!!!! a real fun which injected a feeling of responsibility in me.Towards my locality, society and my nation.Wel,the feeling was not prevailed as compared to fun i had. This was a new experience for me and i enoyed a lot.The final upshot will decide the future of many who contested this election.I dont know what people have choosen, but i have choosed not to be a "PAPPU" by voting today....
